As you all know, we are huge fans of the quality materials and handmade craftsmanship that go into creating traditional English pine furniture and antiques. We also know that many people want quality English furniture that lasts, but sometimes finding the right items, particularly pairs, can be a challenge.

That is what has inspired an exciting new addition to our collection: The Parson's Pine Chest of Drawers. Handcrafted in the USA in the classic English style, this is the perfect piece for anyone looking to find that missing item to complete their interior.

The Parson’s Pine Chest of Drawers: English Design, Made in America

For our Parson’s Pine Chest of Drawers, we tasked local craftsmen with recreating one of our favourite English antiques, a charming 19th-century pine chest of drawers. The result is an almost perfect one-to-one replica, a labour of love completed with a scrupulous attention to detail, all the way down to the grain of the wood.

The chest of drawers is built entirely from solid Appalachian Eastern pine. Much of the pine used in English furniture during the 19th century was imported from the USA, so making these replicas using American pine reflects the nature of the original wood. Because it is entirely made with solid wood, it will also age beautifully over generations, just like a rich English antique.

All of the joinery on these chests of drawers is traditional, using the same dovetail joints as on the original antique. The beautiful tulip feet, a common feature of English antiques, were also exactly reproduced.
